Giant Puffball (Calvatia gigantea) is a rare mushroom in Tennessee. Say it: kal-vay-shuh jy-gan-tee-uh.
How to know it
- Has: Solid white inside (young)
- Has: Smooth, leathery skin
- Does not have: No gills
Can grow bigger than a soccer ball
Edible Only when pure white inside
Never eat a wild mushroom without an expert
