Devil's Urn (Urnula craterium) is a common mushroom in Tennessee. Say it: ur-new-luh kruh-teer-ee-um.
How to know it
- Has: Black, urn-shaped cup
- Has: Grows from buried sticks
- Does not have: No gills
Easy to miss among dark leaves
Not edible Too tough to eat
Never eat a wild mushroom without an expert
